| 1. Information Collection and Use |
| 1A. Information Collection |
|
TidWiT is
the sole owner of the information collected on TidWiT.com. TidWiT collects
information from our users at several different points on our Web site.
|
| 1Ai. Registration |
|
In order to use this Web site, a user must first complete the registration form.
On the form, a user has to enter some "required" information. Other information
is entered optionally. Entering some fields depends on the profile of the user.
For exmaple, Buyers can optionally
enter their address. Sellers, however, are required to enter their address
because that is where the payment of their proceeds would go. All members are
required to enter their Date of Birth because as per TidWiT's site agreement,
anyone aged 18 and under is not allowed to use the site. All members are required
to enter an e-mail. The registration process cannot be completed without e-mail
verification. In terms of Bio information, members are encouraged but not obligated
to enter this information as it may help them in their sales efforts. And finally,
with respect to Groups, TidWiT allows its users to create Groups in order to facilitate
their interaction with their potential fans or colleagues. Group members are
under no obligation to become TidWiT members nor are they binded by its user
agreement, unless and until they decide to go through the registration process themselves.
|
| 1Aii. Order |
|
There are two ways that Buyers can make a payment for an Order on TidWiT.
One way is via Paypal, in which case, all that the user will need to do is enter
his or her PayPal account information. The other way is paying directly by
Credit Card via TidWiT, which would require information to be entered by the user
on our order form. The information typically includes the cardholder name, expiration
date, address, and card code. This information is used for billing purposes and to
fill customers orders. If we have trouble processing an order, the information
is used to contact the user. After the order has been processed, the information
will not be stored on TidWiT.
|
| 1Aiii. Contact Seller |
|
Buyers on TidWiT may want to contact the seller. In such a case, the
contact has to be made through TidWiT. No user e-mails will appear on the
TidWiT system, unless the users themselves decide to exchange their
respective e-mails in the body of their messages. Any messages being exchanged
through TidWiT may be stored by TidWiT. However, this content will be accessible only
by TidWiT and the persons involved in the message exchange. No 3rd party will
have access to these messages.
|
| 1Aiv. Rating Content |
|
Buyers on TidWiT can rate the content that they have bought. Their rating will appear
on the TidWiT site for others to reference. Hence, it is important for users to be as
objective in their ratings as possible so that others in the TidWiT Community may benefit.
Also, please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online
- for example on Rate Now - that information can be collected and used by others. In short,
by posting personal information online that is publicly accessible, you may receive unsolicited
messages from other parties in return.

|
This Web site takes every precaution to protect our users information.
When users submit sensitive information via the Web site, their information is
protected both online and off-line.
|
| 6A. On-Line Security |
|
When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive
information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted
and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL.
While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock
icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft
Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when users
are just surfing.
|
| 6B. Off-Line Security |
|
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we
also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of
our users information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is
restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform
a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service
representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our
employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their
desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to
user information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our
security and privacy practices. Every six months, as well as any time new
policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the
importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our users
information is protected. Finally, the servers that store personally
identifiable information are in a secure environment. If users have any
questions about the security at our Web site, users can send an email to info@tidwit.com.
