TIDWIT integrations connect your ecosystem platform to your existing backend systems and allow you to unleash the exponential power of your ecosystem by providing automated extensibility, knowledge sharing, and data interchange with your partners. As opposed to never-ending “point-to-point” partner integrations that require dedicated resources and ongoing efforts, TIDWIT’s “point-to-network” approach requires a one-time setup to deliver instant connectivity to all ecosystem partners.

Four types of integration

The TIDWIT Ecosystem Enablement platform offers supports four types of integration:

Single Sign-On

The SSO integration allows users to seamlessly access TIDWIT – using their everyday corporate credentials – thus eliminating the need to register an account. TIDWIT supports SAML.

Catalog

The Catalog integration connects your LMS/CMS/Content Repositories to TIDWIT, allowing the push/pull of large sets of content from/to your partner ecosystem.

BPM / Workflows

Workflows can be integrated in order to allow for processes to go beyond an organization’s walls and into that of the partner. This could be for something as simple as a workflow approval to as complex as a rules based voucher management system.

Metrics integration

The Metrics integration delivers end-to-end tracking and reporting capabilities, feeding TIDWIT engagement metrics such as enrollment, clicks, starts, and completions back into to your back-end systems (HR, LMS, BI/Analytics, Data Lake etc.).

Integration Scenarios

The TIDWIT architecture supports multiple integration scenarios. For example, content ingestion into an ecosystem on TIDWIT can be fully automated through TIDWIT APIs and/or connectors. The ability to keep content where it already is (e.g., an LMS) and to simply integrate it into the ecosystem instance saves both time and resources: Anything that gets added, edited, or retired at the source will be automatically updated on the ecosystem instance and syndicated to all the connected partners with zero additional effort.

TIDWIT also supports integration into publisher systems, which may have their own UX. In this scenario, catalogs are pulled into the TIDWIT Ecosystems Network, distributed to the partner and the UX of the partner is served up by the publisher through an SSO handshake (this process might also include batch processes to ingest the catalogs, content, or interchange metrics).

Other ecosystem integration scenarios based on a mix of the above approaches can also be deployed utilizing the following tools: APIs, connectors, and processes.

Rest API

The TIDWIT Rest API makes it seamless for existing organizational systems to integrate with TIDWIT to dynamically pull or push content from/to TIDWIT as well as interchange metrics and reports. To access a part of the TIDWIT Rest API, please click here.

LMS Extensibility through Connectors

TIDWIT provides extensibility to pre-existing Learning Management Systems (LMS) to make their integration with partners easier and more scalable. TIDWIT offers out of the box integrations with tools such as SumTotal, IBM Your Learning, Brainshark, Success Factors, EdX and more. TIDWIT LMS connectors enable ecosystem instances to either pull or push content together with the respective metrics–extending the life and maximizing usage and ROI of the LMS.

ECM Extensibility and Cloud Storage Tools Connectors

TIDWIT also provides integration through ad-hoc API connectors to global ECM tools such as Microsoft SharePoint as well as popular cloud storage tools such as OneDrive, Box, Google Drive, IBM Cloud Storage, and Dropbox. This allows for easier management, consolidation, and versioning of source files.
